Profile: Stuart Gold

Part-time Lecturer

Department of History

Stuart Gold will be teaching American Legal History in the fall 2012 term.  He is a practicing lawyer and brings to the teaching of legal history thirty years’ experience in business litigation and bankruptcy.  He received his J.D. from the Cornell Law School.  He received his M.A. in History from Rutgers-Newark and is currently a doctoral student in the American Studies Program at Rutgers-Newark.  His research focuses on the intersection of legal history and slavery, particularly in the North.
