Postdoc in Marine Atmospheric Chemistry

The Atmospheric Chemistry group has an opening for a postdoc in Marine Atmospheric Chemistry to begin July 1, 2016. The postdoc will join the group to study atmospheric dust in the remote regions, including the Southern Ocean and Antarctica. The research involves field atmospheric sampling in Antarctica and laboratory analyses of atmospheric samples using a variety of instrumental methods.

The successful candidate should have:

(1) a PhD in atmospheric chemistry, marine chemistry, or geochemistry
(2) sufficient training and experiences in atmospheric field sampling
(3) sufficient training and experiences in laboratory analyses and in working under clean-room conditions for trace elements, and
(4) strong skills of data interpretation and writing.

This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension beyond one year depending on the performance and availability of funds.
