Muslim Voices

Join us for an afternoon of short films, stage-actor readings, and performances that reflect the voices of Muslims in Newark. Professional artists and students will perform inspiring music, powerful monologues, and display visual art that both celebrate and dramatize the long and rich history of Muslim life in New Jersey's largest city.

This event is curated and directed by Dr. Zain Abdullah, Temple University Professor of Islamic Studies, and co-sponsored by the Newark 350 Celebration, the Newark Museum, and the African American & African Studies Department of Rutgers University-Newark.
