International Working Group on Cambodia and Southeast Asia (IC-SEA)

The Rutgers International Working Group on Cambodia and Southeast Asia (IC-SEA) is devoted to exploring global challenges related to peace and conflict. While loosely focused on Cambodia, the Working Group engages with critical issues in the Southeast Asian region as well as those faced by Southeast Asian diaspora communities in the greater New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. The Working Group is part of an on-going CGHR partnership with the Documentation Center of Cambodia, which includes the Cambodia Genocide Memory Project. On April 11, 2014, IC-SEA hosted an international workshop on "Cambodia and the Future," that brought together scholars in the greater New York - New Jersey metropolitan area. The group also contributed to a ECCC Reparations project in partnership with DC-Cam. In 2014-15, the group's first event will be an October 29lecture by member Jaya Ramji-Nogales, which part of the "Pathways of Perpetration" lecture series.
