Congratulations to Kornel Chang, Finalist for the John Hope Franklin Prize

The American Studies Association (ASA) has named Professor Kornel Chang's Pacific Connections: The Making of the U.S.-Canadian Borderlands a finalist for the John Hope Franklin Publication Prize. The annual award honors the previous year's best-published book in American Studies.

The ASA received more than 150 submissions for the prize and only a single winner and a pair of runners-up were selected.

The Franklin Prize will be awarded at a reception at this year's ASA annual meeting in Washington D.C. on Friday, November 22, 2013, 7-8pm, at the Washington Hilton.
