STUDENT AWARDS IN ANTHROPOLOGY

Every year, the faculty of Anthropology offer top students in the Anthropology major one of two monetary awards.  Nominees are selected in April. The prizes are announced and presented at the annual awards ceremony in May.

1. The May Mandelbaum Edel Memorial Scholarship was established by Deborah Edel in memory of her mother to support a student majoring in Anthropology. Students who have distinguished themselves in courses and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher in Anthropology are eligible.

2. The Joannie L. Huberman Award is for graduating seniors who have majored in Anthropology. Winners have demonstrated strong performance in courses and have achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher in Anthropology.
