The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (OISS) assists international students, scholars and their dependents on the Newark campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey through the following services:

• Orientation programs for new international students
• Advising F1 students and J1 exchange visitors on maintaining legal status
• Maintaining accurate SEVIS records
• Employment authorization
• Liaison services with state/federal agencies
• Cultural events
• Referrals to other Rutgers offices
• Consultation for University offices on immigration issues
