Attend the RU Ready for Next Semester Workshop to review registration procedures and useful information for for the next semester.

You are starting fresh here, meaning you are starting at a 4.0GPA. It is up to you to keep your grades up by balancing your work load and not attempting to take too many classes your first semester. Remember, Rutgers is different than the school you came from. You should learn about the course load and work involved during your first semester.

READ everything, especially the monthly Transfer Connection newsletter. It is a good way to keep on top of deadlines and learn about what is going on on campus. Remember to check your Rutgers email!

Visit the academic department for your major and make sure you have been assigned a faculty advisor. This advisor will advise you on fulfilling the requirements for your major. Remember you are not officially declared in a major until you visit the academic department.
