Profile: Jeannie Wang

Jeannie Wang is the Assistant Dean and Director of the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISS) at Rutgers University-Newark. She is responsible for setting strategic vision for OISS and provides leadership, training and services to the staff, international students, scholars and the international community at Rutgers - Newark. Educated in three countries, she earned her Bachelor's degree in English in China, Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision in Canada and Masters of Science in Information Systems in the U.S.. She has devoted her entire career in international education in the U.S. and in China, covering the areas of international student and scholar advising, study abroad, international exchange and teaching English as a second language except for a few years in academic advising and international business. Prior to joining Rutgers in 2008, she served as the Director of the International Students & Scholars Office of Pace University over all its campuses in New York City and Westchester County. She has been a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators since 1997.
