Golden Key International Honor Society

The mission of Golden Key National Honor Society, a nonprofit academic honors organization, is to recognize and encourage scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study; to unite with faculty and administrators in developing and maintaining high standards of education; to provide economic assistance to outstanding members by means of both undergraduate and graduate scholarships; and to promote altruistic conduct through voluntary service.
Rutgers-Newark believes in excellence and strives to provide the best environment possible for guiding our Golden Key members to achieve in academics, leadership and service. The Rutgers- Newark Golden Key chapter was chartered April 26, 1999 as part of U.S. Region 1, which includes schools in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
With more than 1400 members since 1999, the Rutgers-Newark Golden Key chapter is a large one, and our members have gone on to do great things in their lives. We are also proud of the Honorary Members we have inducted. We welcome prospective members who are in the top 15% of their class and hope that you will be interested in participating in service and leadership development, as well.
