Chantal Fischzang was born in Israel, raised in Bolivia and pursued higher education in the US.

During her undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University, she worked as a creative for the University's Press and as a design intern at Bridge House Studio in Miami FL. Fluent in English, she joined the Nissan USA team at Zimmerman Advertising and became Art Director for both the American and Hispanic Markets until 2010, producing national campaigns broadcasted in TV, print and interactive.

She obtained an MFA in Communications Design at Pratt Institute in May of 2012 and focused her thesis on design solutions that support bicultural exchange and immigration reform. During her grad school years at Pratt, she assisted teaching Special Projects courses directly related with her research in social advocacy in design education.  Consequently, this collaboration gave birth to design+social engagement projects that were exhibited in NYC Union Square's Green market, the Figment Project in Governor's Island, and the Wassaic Projects exhibit in Connecticut last year.

Recurring themes within her latest work include identity, immigrant rights, socio-cultural contradictions, acculturation and language.
