Anne Burns

Anne Burns serves as the Team Leader of the Project on Women, War, and the Military. She received her B.A. in 1986 and an M.A in City and Regional Planning in 1988 from Rutgers University. Ms. Burns worked for the City of New Rochelle as an urban planner and then with Franklin Watts Publishers. She has also directed two long term business endeavors; most recently, Anne Burns Images, that involved editing, photo research, and project management for numerous publishers and documentary film makers. Long concerned with women’s issues and veterans’ affairs and a student of the Arabic language, Ms. Burns was a Human Rights Observer Delegate for Conscience International on missions to Iran, Syria, and the Sudan. She is currently serving as the Membership Coordinator for the International Association of Genocide Scholars.
