Research interests:

Biogeochemistry, Astrobiology, Environmental electrochemistry

My research uses geochemical and geophysical measurements to distinguish biological from abiotic chemical reactions in situ. Mostly, I use electrodes and time series analysis to distinguish biological influences on system-scale physicochemical properties, such as oxidation-reduction potential. The applications of this work include environmental monitoring, contaminant remediation, and looking for life outside of Earth.
